Another Fancy Dress Carnival

Being our third official Fancy Dress Carnival I think we were all confident that Saturday the 16th of May was going to be another successful event at the Beseda.

As our brood of little Czech or Slovak/Australians in the Canberra community is expanding we thought it would be a great idea to organize a Fancy Dress event to keep them entertained. With various games, songs and competitions it has not only been successful with the kids but it’s also given the parents an opportunity to mingle, unwind and most of all join in!

The afternoon started off with lots of fun games such as jumping in the sack or conquering the mini obstacle course as well as egg on the spoon. There were more games to follow, we all had a lot of fun and it was especially fantastic to see all the great costumes and great effort put into it by the parents.

The costumes all varied, from a Pirate to a Cyclist, Soccer Player, Fairy Amalka, an Angel a Waiter, Transformer and a Catgirl. Our host of the show was the big Elvis himself (Milan Bušek) making sure the program was always underway and the little ones didn’t get bored.

We sang, we danced, we competed and at the end of the day as all the kids were tired, loaded with prizes and full of sugar, it was time to pack up and say goodbye to another successful afternoon for our little ones.

The biggest surprise of the day was family Bucifal welcoming their beautiful little boy Dominik into games the world and so after celebrating with Stan on becoming a father, he and their little girl Julinka had to cut the afternoon short to rush off to the hospital to see their new bundle of joy. Martina we congratulate you on the birth of your baby boy and we’ll look forward to seeing you all there with him next time!

We would like to thank everyone who participated and helped in organizing the prizes, treats and games. Mostly we thank the Beseda club forsponsoring us and allowing us to host such an event for all the afternoon.

Další úspěšný dětský maškarní karneval

V sobotu, 16. května se pořádal dětský maškarní karneval o jehož úspěchu jeho pořadatelé nepochybovali jelikož to byla jejich již třetí akce v tomto směru.

Bohatý program naplněný různými hrami, písněmi a soutěžemi nejenom upoutal děti, ale dal také možnost rodičům, aby se aktivně zapojili. Odpoledne začalo řadou zábavných her jako skákání v pytli, překážkové závody a běhy s vajíčkem na lžíci. Další hry následovaly a všichni se dobře bavili.

Maškarní kostýmy dětí byly zajímavé a různorodé - od Piráta, Cyklistu, Fotbalistu, Víly Amalky, Anděla, Číšníka, Transformera a Kočičí dívky. Moderátorem programu byl samotný velký Elvis (Milan Bušek), který zabezpečoval hladký průběh akcí, aby se ti malí nenudili.

Zpívali jsme, tančili a soutěžili a ke konci dne, když už všechny děti toho měly dost, nabalené cenami a nasycené sladkostmi, nastal čas končit a dát sbohem dalšímu úspěšnému odpoledni pro naše malé ratolesti.

Největší překvapení dne čekalo rodinu Bucifalových, kterým se na karnevalovou sobotu odpoledne narodil syn Dominik a tak otec Stan a malá Julinka po krátké oslavě museli předčasně ukončít odpolední zábavu a spěchat za maminkou a bratříčkem do porodnice. Martino, gratulujeme Ti k narození malého Dominika a těšíme se na shledanou s celou Vaší rodinou na příštím karnevalu.

Rádi bychom poděkovali všem kteří sa akce zúčastnili a pomáhali organizovat hry, ceny a občerstvení. Děkujeme také klubu Beseda, který nás podpořil a umožnil nám připravit toto hezké odpoledne.
