Beseda’s Czech-Slovak Summer Camp 2021
Dear Parents
The Czech School of Canberra has been given grants by the Slovak and Czech Governments to organise a summer school full of learning and fun activities for our Czech and Slovak students at a beach location on the 19th – 21st of November 2021.
The camp will be filled with with Czech and Slovak Language lessons centred around a camp theme of
“Travelling around Czechoslovakian castles and châteaux”.
We will take a trip in back time and look at the medieval Slavic past. The three-day program, conducted in Czech and Slovak, will provide entertainment with many games where students can develop their language and other skills. They will learn to work together in a team, make new friends, take a break from everyday school life, and gain life skills and experiences they will keep forever.
When: Term 4, Friday 19 November 2021 – Sunday 21 November 2021
How Long: 3 days / 2 nights in tent/cabin accommodation
Where: BIG 4 Bungalow Park at Burrill lake
(facilities include mini golf, pool, fishing, canoe hire, jumping pillow, movie room

Cost: Approximately $50/Student (This is our current best estimate)
To ensure this camp is a viable option, please fill out the Expression of Interest form no later than Friday 2 July.
A deposit of $50 will be required to reserve your child’s place on the camp.
NOTES / CONDITIONS:
It is preferable that parents accompany their children. All costs associated with the parents’ stay will be paid for by parents themselves. The grant money only covers costs associated with the students’ participation. Parents have to make their own bookings.
Further forms will be sent home for completion at a later date to students who have returned their expression of interest and deposit.
It is customary for the school to request a financial contribution towards the cost of your child’s participation in this camp. The school has made every effort to keep costs for this activity at a reasonably low level. This is an enrichment activity so a payment will be required to cover all costs. The school reserves the right to cancel the activity. Individual records of contributions are confidential. If you have concerns about the payment, please contact me.
