Beseda’s Czech-Slovak Summer Camp 2022

BESEDA is organising a summer camp full of learning and fun activities at a beach.

The three-day program will provide entertainment with many games when you can develop your language and other skills, sports competitions with awards, shirt painting, a bonfire with sausage sizzles and Czech and Slovak songs, a glow in the dark disco, light refreshments, and maybe the ZOO :-).

When: Term 4, Friday 9 December 2022 – Sunday 11 December 2022
How Long:  3 days / 2 nights
Where: NRMA Murramarang Beachfront Holiday Resort, located at Mill Beach, Banyandah Street, SOUTH DURRAS.

It is preferable that parents accompany their children.

NRMA Murramarang Beachfront Holiday Resort – An easy 2 hour drive from Canberra is idyllic South Durras, just outside Batemans Bay. Expect to be welcomed by friendly kangaroos at this beachfront location, surrounded by national park and offering caravan, camping and cabin accommodation, plus bistro and conference/event facilities.

Children will learn how to work together in a team, make new friends, take a break from everyday school life, and gain life skills and experiences they will keep forever.

The camp will be filled with with Czech and Slovak Language lessons centered around a camp theme of

“Czech and Slovak Tales and Myths”.

It’s a family friendly atmosphere where students participate in fun and challenging activities that leave them with lasting memories.

Through games such as 11 tasks for Bivoj, challenges and activities, our children will gain exposure to the Czech and Slovak culture and language in a fun and motivating environment.

It is preferable for parents to accompany their children. All costs associated with the parents’ stay will be paid for by parents themselves.

We provide and pay for the children: The three-day program includes many games where you can develop your language and other skills, sport competitions with awards, shirt painting, fruit, how to make “šopský salát”, bonfire with sausage sizzles and Czech and Slovak songs, Glow in the dark disco, light refreshments, and maybe a trip to the ZOO :-).
